Shift: Days, 3x12hrs
Hours: 36 hrs/wk
Start Date: Sep 8, 2026
Length: 13 weeks

Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and RDMS-AB certification for an acute care hospital assignment.

Details

Acute care hospital setting with 150 staffed beds
Work settings include adult acute care, adult outpatient, and emergency department
Pediatric acute care experience preferred
On-call requirement
No floating required between like units, though floating between sister facilities may be expected
3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager's discretion
Uses Epic for charting
Uses GE equipment

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience within the last 3 years, current experience required
BLS and RDMS-AB certification required
ARDMS or CCI certification required
ARRT Sonography and RDCS Adult certifications preferred
Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable)
Community hospital experience preferred
Epic EMR experience required
Proficiency in Adult Echo, 3-D Echo, Bubble Study, Imaging with Contrast Agents, and M-Mode
Experience with Pharmacologic Stress Echo, RVIT, RVOT, TEE, and Treadmill Stress Echo preferred
Experience with pediatric echo and scanning complex anomalies preferred
NICU experience preferred

Additional Information

First-time travelers will be considered
Local candidates accepted
Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for the travel pay rate
RTO requests must be submitted at time of submission, with minimal RTO preferred to expedite the process
Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period
Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
Scrub color for Radiology is dark solid colors
