Do you bring senior leadership experience in affordable housing, homelessness services, or community-based nonprofit organizations?

Are you skilled at building partnerships, advancing community-centered solutions, and navigating public funding?

We are currently in search of an Executive Director for Arcata House Partnership, an Affordable Housing & Homeless Services nonprofit organization. The position is on-site in Northern California(Arcata, CA within Humboldt County). This is a full-time, permanent position.

ORGANIZATION TYPE: Arcata House Partnership (AHP)

LOCATION: Arcata, CA (Humboldt County in Northern California)

POSITION TITLE: Executive Director

SCHEDULE: On-site, 40 hours/week

DURATION: Permanent – Direct Hire

ANNUAL SALARY: $130,000 - $150,000

This is an exceptional opportunity to advocate for and advance housing and supportive service solutions grounded in dignity, compassion, and empowerment. Join a highly supportive team to shape a future vision for this growing, innovative organization in North California, where the local community is strong, the arts & culture are vibrant, and the Redwood Trees meet the Pacific Ocean.

Our Ideal Candidate:

Senior leadership experience within housing, homeless services, or related non-profit organizations
Experience with affordable housing systems, public funding, or housing development environments, including identifying, applying for, and overseeing federal and state funding
Ability to navigate evolving federal and government funding landscapes
Proven ability to build partnerships with government agencies, funders, and community stakeholders
Deep commitment to client-centered, dignity-driven service delivery
Graduate Degree preferred

How You Will Spend Your Day:

Lead organizational strategy and implementation; provide overall leadership of organizational operations
Advance growth initiatives; provide direct oversight of program evaluation and continuous improvement
Identify and pursue funding opportunities; support with grant strategy, reporting, and overall grant lifecycle management
Partner closely with the Board of Directors on organizational growth, governance, and policy implementation
Supervise and support department leaders while fostering continued collaboration
Oversee contracts, compliance and reporting requirements, fiscal administration, and human resources
Strengthen partnerships with government entities, housing organizations, and community partners
Serve as a visible ambassador for Arcata House Partnership in the community and across the State
