What You’ll Do
As a Geotechnical/Environmental Driller, you will lead on-site operations, collaborate closely with supervisors and clients, and ensure all drilling activities are completed safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for:
- Operating and managing drilling equipment in accordance with safety and quality standards.
- Completing required field documentation and paperwork with accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintaining and inspecting equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
- Mentoring and assisting in the training of junior drilling staff on proper procedures and techniques.
- Supporting team members and contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Assisting with troubleshooting and problem-solving at job sites.
- Performing additional duties as needed and directed by your supervisor.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a skilled and responsible driller who brings both technical ability and a team-focused attitude. The ideal candidate will have:
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nevada Driver’s License
- Unrestricted Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Nevada Well Drilling License
- Minimum of 2 years of experience on drilling rigs
- Proficient in operating manual transmissions
- Physically capable and able to pass a baseline physical exam
- Demonstrated mechanical and organizational skills
- Ability to work well with others and contribute to a harmonious team environment
- Willingness to comply with OSHA safety standards and Eagle Drilling’s Safety Manual
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of at least two years of high school education
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and/or MSHA Part 48B training
- Ability to study and apply Nevada state rules and regulations for drilling operations
