Position Summary
The Eureka Springs School of the Arts is seeking an organized, creative, and collaborative Program Manager to coordinate all aspects of ESSA’s art and fine craft education programs.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Program Manager is responsible for program planning, implementation, evaluation, and administration, with a particular focus on workshop instructors and artist residency programs. This position works closely with instructors, studio coordinators, staff members, and community partners to ensure that ESSA’s programs are thoughtfully planned, effectively communicated, and successfully delivered.

Primary ResponsibilitiesProgram Planning and Implementation
- Develop and implement program goals and strategies in collaboration with the Executive Director and program staff.
- Identify and recruit prospective workshop instructors.
- Administer instructor applications and assist with instructor screening and selection.
- Maintain consistent and professional communication with contracted instructors.
- Coordinate workshop schedules, studio assignments, and other program activities in collaboration with Studio Coordinators and organizational partners.
- Coordinate instructor lodging and accommodation needs with the Facilities Coordinator.
- Lead the design and planning of workshops, staff workshops, artist residencies, and public programs.
- Assist with the coordination of ESSA’s work-study program.
- Work with the Program Administrator and Studio Coordinators to collect, review, and analyze student and instructor evaluations.
- Assist Studio Coordinators with workshop monitoring and program support as needed.
Program Marketing and Catalog Coordination
- Lead the development, production, and distribution of ESSA’s program catalog.
- Draft and edit workshop descriptions and instructor biographies in coordination with instructors.
- Gather, organize, and maintain instructor photographs and other program materials for the website and catalog.
- Coordinate the review and proofing of catalog and program content.
- Coordinate the placement of program information on ESSA’s website and in printed materials.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to program-related questions and information requests.
- Draft, develop, issue, receive, and organize program documents, including applications, contracts, agreements, and residency materials.
- Identify opportunities to improve program processes and assist with implementing changes.
- Prepare program updates, status reports, and data reports as requested by the Executive Director.
- Assist with student registrations, class rosters, and related program records as needed.
- During assigned office hours, assist with answering telephone calls and welcoming campus visitors.
- Assist with special events and organization-wide activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and details.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to communicate information clearly, concisely, and professionally.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully with artists, instructors, students, staff members, and community partners.
- A flexible, solutions-oriented approach and a positive attitude.
- Comfort learning and working with databases, customer relationship management systems, and communication platforms such as Constant Contact and DonorPerfect.
- Familiarity with art, craft, or arts education.
- Experience with program coordination, event planning, education, nonprofit organizations, or arts administration is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
