Position Summary:

The Production Clerk will execute clerical functions for production control and will facilitate the flow of information and materials among and between departments by working closely with the Production Leadership.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Required to go to production floor to assist supervision by:
Collect, record, and communicate daily production data, including EOS report
Check absentee call-in line to record absences and communicate to appropriate supervisors
Keep track of attendance records and corrective actions associated with excessive tardiness and absenteeism
Complete paperwork related to employee time off requests, job changes, terminations, training certifications, etc. for submission to HR
Work directly with payroll, HR, training and safety departments
Assist with incident reports and conduct accident investigations as necessary
Maintain training records
Complete daily sanitation reports
Adhere to strict expectation of confidentiality
Answer phone calls, make copies, fax
Other projects as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility:

· This position reports to production supervisor
· This position serves as a backup for other production clerks

Qualifications / Education / Experience Desired:

· Highschool graduate or equivalent
· Two years production experience (Preferably food production)
· Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including email, MS Word, and Excel
· Ability to multi-task and comfortable working in fast-paced environment
· Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail
· Must have great attendance and punctuality
· Team player able to work cross-functionally with employees from several departments

Language/Mathematical/Reasoning Ability:

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
· Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written, in both English and Spanish
· Strong math skills
· When issues arise, may be asked to assist in the troubleshooting process
· Must be a strong communicator, able to direct a team under changing circumstances

Supervision Given:

The Production Clerk will report to the Production Supervisor.
This position serves as backup to other production clerks.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include looking at a computer screen and ability to adjust focus. The employee may be required to travel, must drive a motor vehicle, and effectively communicate using telephone and email.
