Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Correctional Healthcare

Looking for something different from the typical clinic or hospital setting? We’re hiring Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to work in correctional healthcare facilities across Colorado, offering consistent day shifts, strong pay, and a unique, hands-on clinical environment. This opportunity is ideal for providers looking to break out of traditional clinical settings and step into a more dynamic environment. It’s a great fit for clinicians who value autonomy and enjoy variety in their day-to-day work, as well as those interested in travel assignments with increased earning potential. Providers who thrive in structured, fast-paced environments and are comfortable adapting to unique patient care settings will find this role especially rewarding.

Why Providers Are Interested

Day shifts only – no nights- Four 10-hour shifts
$70–$75/hour (based on experience)
Travel opportunities with higher earning potential
Mileage reimbursement (50+ miles one way)
Per diem for housing, meals & incidentals (200+ miles)
$300 referral bonus

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll provide direct patient care in a structured clinical setting within a secure facility. This is a highly autonomous role where you’ll use your full scope of practice.

Assess, diagnose, and treat acute & chronic conditions
Conduct sick call and chronic care clinics
Prescribe medications within established guidelines
Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostics
Perform minor procedures (suturing, wound care, etc.)
Respond to urgent and emergent situations
Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care
