The University of Evansville (UE) Athletics Department is seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Assistant Athletic Director for Business Administration. This is a strategic role responsible for the financial health and operational efficiency of our Division I athletic program.

Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Athletic Director for Business Administration serves as the financial backbone of the department. Your main duties will include:
- Real-Time Budgetary Management: Develop and maintain a real-time budgetary tool that reconciles university accounting system data with pending requests and payments.
- Fiscal Oversight: Review and approve procurement card transactions, departmental purchases, and travel requests, ensuring adherence to institutional policies.
- Financial Planning: Collaborate with coaches and staff to manage fund allocation throughout the fiscal year and lead planning efforts for fiscal year-end.
- Leadership Reviews: Conduct monthly budget review meetings with coaches, sport supervisors, and the Athletic Director to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Cross-Functional Liaison: Serve as the primary department contact for campus support areas, including Risk Management, Purchasing, and Fiscal Affairs.
- Operational Management: Oversee the financial processing of student-athlete injury insurance claims and coordinate the financial logistics for athletics facility rentals and team camps.
Required Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Above-average proficiency in Microsoft Excel for advanced data management and financial modeling.
- Financial Background: A robust background in accounting and finance with demonstrated real-world experience.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders (coaches and administrators).
- Time Management: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in higher education financial administration or athletic department operations is a significant plus.
