Full Job Description

Warm Beach Senior Community is a non-profit ministry of the Free Methodist Church with 59 years of service to the elderly and the community. We are looking for an Accounting Admin Assistant to join our team!

This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to learn and enjoys working across different departments!

The Accounting Admin Assistant is responsible for accounting duties primarily including payroll processing and accounts payable, but will also being assisting with administrative tasks for other departments such as HR. Responsibilities also include assisting with year-end accounting, preparing for audits, working with computer systems, and organizing work and setting priorities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Full-cycle payroll processing in ADP Workforce Now.
Accounts Payable processing.
Assists HR with new hire preparation and acts as a backup for new hire orientation and other clerical HR duties as assigned.
Assists other departments with administrative tasks as needed.
Communicate with other departments timely and effectively to ensure smooth vendor transactions and staff compensation.

Qualifications:

At least 1 year of payroll processing preferred; ADP Workforce experience preferred.
1-3 years of accounts payable processing preferred; QuickBooks Online experience preferred.
Knowledge of tax rules (sales/use tax, 1099 reporting) and internal controls.
Understanding of General Ledger (GL) systems and accounts payable principles.
Some HR knowledge preferred; Understanding of federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
