SALES & EVENT COORDINATOR

The Delta Hotels by Marriott Seattle Everett is looking for an organized, people-first Sales & Event Coordinator to help keep our sales and events running smoothly. This position provides administrative and event coordination support for our group, meeting, and catering business, helping manage the many details behind successful events. While most of your time will be spent supporting the Sales Office, you'll also have opportunities to book and detail select assignments. You're someone who genuinely likes staying organized, builds easy rapport with clients and coworkers, and keeps a busy sales office moving forward.

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day administrative sales support.
Keep bookings, files, reports, and systems accurate and up to date.
Prepare for site tours and inspect showrooms, conducting tours as needed.
Greet onsite groups and events when needed.
Sell and book assigned group and meeting space.
Respond to assigned inquiries, offering tailored value propositions.
Handle negotiations on event space, catering, and A/V within our booking guidelines.

What We're Looking For

Someone detail-oriented and self-motivated, with at least a year of admin experience (hospitality background is a nice bonus). You're comfortable multitasking, communicating clearly and staying a step ahead. Bonus points if you're the kind of person who makes people feel taken care of.

RATE OF PAY:

$23.54 - $26.06 per hour/DOE

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of administrative experience.
Hospitality experience preferred.
Comfortable with Microsoft Outlook and Word; basic Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Familiarity with CRM, hotel PMS, diagramming, or reservations software preferred.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Driver's License & Insurance Requirements:

Must have a valid state driver’s license at the time of hire.
Must maintain vehicle insurance coverage as required by Hollander Hospitality.

Physical Requirements:
Light Work: The ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. This work requires the ability to sit for long periods of time; move around the hotel to give site tours. Must be able to lift and carry general office supplies and equipment. Position requires hand-manipulative skills for word processing and writing. Must be able to hear verbal conversations over the phone and in person with background noise. Must have visual acuity to analyze written information and view computer terminal and ability to express or exchange information by means of the spoken word.
