Position Summary
Northwest Weight Loss is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) to join our growing team in Everett. This role will primarily support patients enrolled in our Medical Weight Loss program while also providing nutritional counseling and education for bariatric surgery patients as needed.
The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient-focused, organized, and passionate about helping individuals achieve sustainable lifestyle changes. Experience in obesity medicine, weight management, and bariatric nutrition is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and follow-up appointments.
- Develop individualized nutrition and lifestyle plans based on patient goals and medical history.
- Educate patients on weight management, behavior modification, portion control, label reading, meal planning, and mindful eating.
- Support patients through pre-operative and post-operative bariatric nutrition requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, surgeons, and other team members to create comprehensive treatment plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust recommendations as appropriate.
- Document all patient encounters accurately and timely within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in both in-person and telehealth visits.
- Assist with patient education materials, support groups, and program development initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in Washington State.
- Experience in weight management, obesity medicine, and/or bariatric nutrition preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational interviewing skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience with telehealth platforms and electronic medical records preferred.
