Full Job Description

Dewberry’s growing Commercial Utilities – Energy/Renewables Group is looking for a Senior Project Manager to play a key role in delivering complex, high‑impact infrastructure projects. You’ll work alongside multidisciplinary teams to provide full‑service project consulting for utility, energy, and renewables clients across the region.

In this role, you’ll lead project strategy from pursuit through delivery, guide technical quality, manage project financials, and mentor developing professionals. You’ll have opportunities to collaborate across Dewberry offices, expand client relationships, and influence the growth of a thriving practice.

Travel to other offices, client locations, agencies, and project sites will be part of the role.

Dewberry offers a comprehensive and very competitive package of insurance programs to regular full-time employees and their eligible dependents the first of the month following their date of hire. The insurance package includes medical, dental, vision, and supplemental life. Additional insurances, at no cost to the employee: life (employee only), accidental death and dismemberment, business travel and accident, and short- and long-term disability are also provided. Positions within our officer program are also eligible for an annual bonus and monthly stipend. Both vary based on level within the program and bonuses are dependent upon company and individual performance. Certain positions are also eligible to receive overtime pay, whereas all non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime (subject to approval).

In addition, a host of discounted purchase programs are available to all employees.

What You’ll Do

Lead projects and client relationships for utility, energy, and renewables programs
Shape business development efforts, including proposals and client pursuits
Manage multidisciplinary teams and subconsultants from planning through construction
Oversee budgets, invoicing, and financial performance
Provide technical leadership and conduct engineering/design quality reviews
Mentor and develop junior staff
Collaborate with teams across Dewberry offices

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or related field
MBA is a plus
10+ years of experience managing commercial utility, energy, or renewables projects
Professional licensure in NY or NJ (or ability to obtain within 18 months)
Experience with planning, design, permitting, and construction administration
Familiarity working with state and local agencies on approvals and permits
Strong communication and leadership skills
A clean driving record is required.
