Office & Financial Operations Manager

Holly Days Nursery | Full-Time | Ambler, PA

Join a Growing Company with Leadership Opportunities

Holly Days Nursery is seeking an experienced Office & Financial Operations Manager to oversee accounting, financial reporting, and office operations while helping improve business systems through technology and process improvements.

This is more than a traditional office manager role. You'll work directly with ownership and the CFO, helping shape the financial future of a growing business with the opportunity to advance into a senior financial leadership role.

What You'll DoAccounting & Finance

Manage daily accounting using QuickBooks Enterprise
Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Prepare customer invoices and monitor collections
Assist with payroll and monthly financial close
Maintain general ledger and fixed assets
Assist with bank reconciliations and cash management
Coordinate year-end activities with the CPA

Financial Reporting

Prepare accurate monthly reports including:

Profit & Loss Statements
Balance Sheets
Cash Flow Reports
Budget vs. Actual Reports
AR/AP Aging
Department Sales
Job Cost and Inventory Reports

Office Operations

Oversee daily office administration
Maintain employee records and business licenses
Coordinate annual insurance renewals
Manage H-2B seasonal worker administration
Support ownership and department managers

Technology & Process Improvement

Optimize QuickBooks Enterprise and CounterPoint POS
Improve workflows through automation and technology
Develop standardized procedures
Implement AI and other productivity tools where appropriate
Drive continuous operational improvement

Additional Responsibilities

Manage accounting for affiliated real estate holdings
Assist with budgeting and profitability analysis
Monitor labor costs and inventory performance
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who has:

3+ years of accounting, finance, office management, or business operations experience
QuickBooks Enterprise experience (strongly preferred)
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent organizational and communication skills
High attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential financial information
Self-motivation and a continuous improvement mindset

Experience with CounterPoint POS, retail, landscaping, nursery, construction, or seasonal businesses is a plus.
