Full Job Description

Scientist

Location: Spring House, PA

Overview

Do you have exceptional attention to detail and are passionate about bringing the next generation of transformational medicines to the market? The Biologics Discovery department at Spring House is committed to discovering first-in-class biotherapeutics for some of the world's most challenging diseases. To ensure consistency across a breadth of critical activities, we are seeking an Inventory Management Specialist who can maintainand characterize a range of protein and cell-based biologics substrates. In this role you will be performing a critical role bridging the gap between production and evaluation of protein biotherapeutics.

Key Functions

· Deposit purified protein therapeutics, DNA, and cell lines into the appropriate inventories

· Fulfill inventory requests for a broad range of stakeholders, ensuring commitment to consistency and quality control

· Maintain accurate sample information in an inventory management system

· Coordinate shipping with the appropriate parties

· Perform basic protein biochemical assays to assess Quality Control (QC) of samples (e.g.HPLC, A280, SDS-PAGE, endotoxin)

· Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide information about requests and seek input appropriately

· Ensure documentation accuracy and integrity of the inventory and/or shipments

Critical attributes

· Good sterile technique and accurate pipetting skills required

· Exceptional attention to detail required

· Effective oral and written communication required

· Basic computer and database management skills required

· Experience with basic protein biochemical QC methods (e.g.HPLC, A280, SDS-PAGE, endotoxin) preferred

· Prior laboratory experience preferred

Education

Associate degree with two years of experience or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or equivalent.

Job Types: Contract, Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour
