Full Job Description

CyberLynx Homeschool and Correspondence Program, right here in Fairbanks, is looking for a full-time receptionist/administrative professional.

CyberLynx has a relatively small but growing staff of dynamic, caring, and talented educators who care for each other and who are committed to serving our families, our students, and our community. We work primarily to support families who want to homeschool their children or provide some alternative path for their child's education.

We know that you are right for this job if you are an animated, enthusiastic, and positive person who is friendly, capable of solving problems, and willing to listen well and connect with others. Your work ethic is clearly demonstrated by coming to work every day on time and doing whatever it takes to serve our families well and maintain an effective and healthy working environment. We need someone who is efficient - a person who can manage many details and can use the tools of technology to be more productive.

The daily tasks for this position include staffing our front desk and greeting those who contact us in person, by phone, or via email. You'll be able to answer questions clearly and accurately and make appointments for our teachers to meet with families. Other tasks include maintaining and organizing both paper and electronic student files, following established procedures for processing order requests or reimbursement requests from families, tracking down missing pieces of information, and communicating back to families.

Benefits? You bet there are benefits! This position has a starting pay of $21.44 - $23.23 per hour, depending on experience, for 20 hours per week. Our regular office hours are 9 - 4:30, Monday through Friday. In addition, other benefits include paid personal leave and paid sick leave.
