Full Job Description

Join the JL Properties Team

JL Properties, Inc. is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Leasing Agent to join our team in Fairbanks, Alaska. This role serves as a primary point of contact for prospective and current residents, helping create a positive rental experience through exceptional customer service, relationship building, and leasing expertise. The ideal candidate enjoys connecting with people, identifying their housing needs, and guiding them through the leasing process to help them find a place to call home.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist prospective and current residents in person, by phone, and by email.
Conduct apartment tours and provide information about available units.
Process rental applications and verify applicant eligibility.
Prepare leases, move-in paperwork, and resident files.
Conduct move-in and move-out inspections.
Maintain accurate resident records and complete data entry.
Process payments and assist with resident account inquiries.
Support resident retention and occupancy goals.
Follow company policies and comply with Alaska landlord-tenant laws.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid Alaska Driver's License and insurable driving record.
At least one year of customer service, sales, retail, office, or related experience.
Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
Experience in leasing, property management, or residential rentals is preferred.
