Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Memory Care Life Enrichment Coordinator to lead engaging programs and activities for residents with memory impairments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in assisted living, nursing home experience, or long-term care, with a passion for enhancing the well-being of individuals with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing recreational and therapeutic activities that promote cognitive function, social interaction, and overall happiness.

Duties

Develop and coordinate innovative activity programs tailored to residents with memory care needs, incorporating recreational therapy principles.
Plan and execute special events, outings, and therapeutic activities that foster social engagement and mental stimulation.
Collaborate with caregiving staff to assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting independence.
Manage activity schedules efficiently to ensure consistent engagement and participation among residents.
Provide counseling and support related to aging issues, dementia care, and social well-being for residents and their families.
Maintain detailed records of resident participation, progress, and preferences to personalize future activities.
Foster a positive environment that encourages socialization, emotional expression, and cognitive activity for individuals with disabilities or memory impairments.

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Position Type: Full‑Time / Part‑Time (based on scheduling needs)

Qualifications

Dementia or Memory Care experience preferred
Senior Living experience preferred
Entry‑level candidates welcome
Positive attitude, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
Creative, organized, and reliable
Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and team members

Skills

Extensive experience in event planning within assisted living or nursing home settings.
Proven knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, and senior care best practices.
Strong background in recreational therapy, caregiving, or working with individuals with disabilities.
Excellent communication skills are essential for engaging residents, families, and team members effectively.
Ability to manage schedules efficiently while balancing multiple program responsibilities.
Familiarity with long-term care environments and home & community care services.
