Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Patient Navigator is responsible for supporting the smooth operation in their assigned locations by overseeing, patient flow.

General Responsibilities

· Greet patients upon arrival and departure in a warm, professional, and welcoming manner, creating a positive first impression.

· Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing patient needs with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.

· Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative departments to ensure seamless patient flow and coordinated care.

· Keep patients informed of provider delays by providing timely updates, managing expectations, and offering refreshments such as water or coffee to enhance the patient experience.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming waiting room environment to promote patient comfort, safety, and efficient operations.

· Identify and promptly report facility maintenance concerns to management for timely resolution.

· Escort patients to appropriate waiting or clinical areas based on appointment requirements.

· Assist patients with self-service kiosk check-in by providing guidance, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring a smooth registration process.

· Respond to patient questions and concerns with courtesy and compassion, resolving issues promptly and escalating complex matters to management when necessary.

· Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to minimize wait times and enhance the overall patient experience.

· Safeguard patient records and financial information by maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.

· Foster a patient-centered environment by delivering compassionate service while supporting efficient front-office operations.

· Cross-trained to provide front desk coverage as needed, including supporting other locations/shifts, and working occasional weekends to ensure uninterrupted patient services and operational efficiency as needed.

Qualifications

· High School Diploma or equivalent required.

· Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting.

· Knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

· Strong active listening and empathetic communication with patients and staff.

· Critical thinking, essential for problem solving in a dynamic healthcare environment.

· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
