At NorthBay Health, the OB Hospitalist Physician will practice in our highly regarded health system in Northern California. NorthBay Health is ideally located between the San Francisco Bay Area Region, Napa Valley and Sacramento. We are a Baby-Friendly hospital , and in case a baby needs extra support after birth, our level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is staffed with board-certified neonatologists.

Practice Information

Position Type: Full-time or Part-time
Call Schedule: 24-hour in-
EMR: Cerner - transition to EPIC 10/2026
Provider Support: Collaborative team of Physicians and Advanced Practice Professionals

Facility Information:

154-bed hospital
8-bed labor unit
13-bed postpartum unit
16-bed Level 3 NICU

Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
Training: Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency program.
Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Licensure: Valid and active medical license in California.
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NRP preferred.
Experience: At least one (1) year of experience preferred, though recent residency graduates will also be considered.

Skills:

Strong clinical and surgical skills in obstetrics and gynecology.
Excellent communication skills for patient education.

Employed Compensation and Perks:

Income Guarantee: $436,800
Sign On Bonus up to $50,000
Relocation available for qualified candidates up to $20,000
Residency Stipend up to $24,000
Retention Bonus - $30,000 beginning the 2nd year

Compensation Structure

NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1–5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements.

NorthBay Health is primarily an onsite organization due to the nature of healthcare. Some roles may allow hybrid or remote work based on business needs.

Remote work is not supported in Washington, Ohio, Wyoming, North Dakota, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or outside of the United States.
