The company produces, sells and distributes high-performance specialty gases to Northeastern, Central, Southwestern Ohio and Northern Kentucky. As a leader in bioscience, research and industrial gas services, Wright Brothers is committed to finding innovative and cost-effective solutions for our customers and for the industry.

Wright Brothers continues to bring new gas solutions to a large base of dynamic industries including healthcare, food and beverage, floral, electronics, energy, manufacturing and others.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be able to enhance an efficient operational structure that supports the company’s business needs while driving growth through effective sales management, strengthening partner relationships, and coordinating closely with customers to ensure exceptional service and reliable supply. This individual should be comfortable multitasking and collaborating across multiple business units.

This position is in person and based in Montgomery, Ohio. While formally part of Wright Brothers Global Gas, the role includes significant collaboration with Vendor Managed Gas (VMG) Telemetry and Wright Brothers, Inc.

Duties

Operational Focus

Ramp up new or growing accounts
Support the daily functions of the business
Maintain a credible database of supply chain partners and develop this network based on partners strengths and capabilities. Limited travel to industry specific conferences to work with these partners.
Ensure a profitable cost/price structure
Limited facility management to maintain the office

Sales and Marketing

Hire and onboard new salespeople across all business units as needed.
Support existing sales team in matching partners with business opportunities and assist with bid process
Pursue sales leads outside what existing team is pursuing
Develop and enhance current websites, industry PR, and social media (LinkedIn) and schedule marketing – some aspects may be outsourced

Organizational Leadership

Collaborate with leadership to identify company goals and measure success.
Reinforce the company’s core values throughout the organization.
Build company morale and enhance employee engagement.
Help to create a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
Assist hiring and onboarding new team members

Customer Care

Coordinate with a small team responsible for order entry, delivery, and invoicing with customers.
Be willing to jump in during busy seasons or vacations to assist with fulfillment.
Periodic communication with customer leadership
Identify process/system improvements.
Foster a culture of excellent service and timely feedback to customers.

Financial Management

Maintain and develop business partnerships within a distributor network
Periodically negotiate with partners
Coordinate periodic purchasing and evaluate vendors
Understand the business sufficiently to: Explain financial results in a business context (provide the story behind the numbers); Recognize/ prioritize opportunities for process improvement; Assess financial risk / rewards of growth and other strategic initiatives
Update, communicate and (as necessary) develop financial and operating metrics.

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree OR significant relevant functional experience
3+ years of experience in a similar leadership role
Willing to be hands on in the field, with customers and associates
Strong leadership experience and financial acumen
Experience being the face of an organization with employees, key customers, and other business partners
Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficient In Quick Books, Excel
Team management experience with multiple direct reports from a variety of disciplines
An entrepreneurial approach and “can do” proactive attitude
Must be drug and nicotine free
Must sign a confidentiality and two-year non-compete agreement

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
