Cincinnati Re is currently seeking an individual to join the analytics team to support treaty reinsurance pricing. A strong quantitative and property & casualty reinsurance background is required. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. For candidates not located near our Fairfield, OH headquarters, this role may be designated as remote. Individuals in remote locations will be required to travel on a more frequent basis.
The pay range for this position is $100,000.00 - $160,000.00 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
Be ready to:

support the evaluation and pricing of reinsurance opportunities
-
work with the reinsurance underwriters to analyze contracts, develop loss costs, and quantify the impact of contract features
-
assess capital requirements and provide insights into key risk drivers to support strategic decision-making and financial planning
-
perform actuarial pricing, including experience rating and exposure rating of subject business
-
perform stochastic and financial modeling of transactions
-
assist in the development and maintenance of pricing models
-
meet externally with current and prospective clients
-
participate in special projects as needed
-
periodically travel to support business objectives, meetings, and events
Be equipped with:
-
ability to independently manage priorities, take initiative, and drive success

demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional team

excellent written and verbal communication skills

strong organizational, time and project management experience
-
strong Excel and actuarial software proficiency
-
ability to interpret and communicate complex data to technical and non-technical audiences
Bring education or experience from:
-
a bachelor’s degree (required)
-
progress toward CAS designation required; candidates should be an actuarial student with advanced exam progress or a near-credentialed Property & Casualty actuary (ACAS/FCAS)
-
two or more years of experience in property/casualty reinsurance pricing (required)
-
two or more years of experience in commercial or specialty lines such as general liability, auto, property, professional lines, cyber, marine & energy (preferred)
-
experience with SQL Server and VBA (preferred)
