JOB DESCRIPTION

Looking for an experienced, creative, personable, and collaborative person to join our team!

The Event Coordinator at Nikki Glekas Collective is responsible for event sales and production for multiple large scale social and corporate events across our exclusive locations throughout Fairfield County. In this role, your primary tasks will involve connecting with potential clients, negotiating their contracts, and executing their event.

This is a full-time role (40 hours/week off-season, 50+ hours/week peak-season). The role will be based in our Stamford, CT office and offers competitive salary and healthcare compensation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Manage all event aspects including (but not limited to): proposals and contracts, floorplans, rentals, décor, menu, etc.
Act as primary point of contact for general leads through Wedding Wire, The Knot, social media, phone calls, and emails.
Act as a liaison between NGE and partner venues/offsite locations.
Attend and manage events (set up, day of, breakdown).
Manage and fill our events calendars across all venue locations.
Determine sales goals.
Build and maintain customer and vendor relationships.
Manage client and vendor relationships from initial inquiry and touring to booking and execution of event.
Process all deposits and payments; working with company management to maintain all event financials.
Implement new sales/outreach strategies to increase revenue
Create cost savings by identifying new vendors and negotiating with current company vendors
Work seamlessly with the Director of Food and Beverage to execute food and beverage preparation, production, and presentation
Collaborate with the Event Assistant(s) in conducting tours, completing event paperwork, and event execution.
Collaborate to develop promotional marketing materials and social media content, as needed.
Develop specialty packages to entice new customers, as needed.
Additional responsibilities may be added as needed by the CEO.

QUALIFICATIONS

College degree preferred, but not required (hospitality, marketing, fine arts, psychology, or a related field)
A minimum of three year of event management experience, required. Previous experience working with brides/grooms, coordinating weddings and bar/bat mitzvahs is required.
A minimum of three year of sales experience, required.
Prior administrative experience, required.
Excellent computer skills necessary, including EXCEL, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite, Canva, All Seated, Social Tables.
Ability to effectively communicate work related information to co-workers, supervisors, vendors and clients.
Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate business needs.
Weeknights and weekend availability required.
Must have reliable transportation. Local travel required.
Proactive problem-solving skills: ability to anticipate obstacles and quickly generate alternate solutions/ideas.
Positive, fast passed, winning attitude, always working to improve the execution and timeliness of their team.
