Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data while ensuring strict confidentiality.
Support payroll administration utilizing ADP and Deel, including employee data updates and payroll-related changes.
Serve as an HR partner providing guidance and recommendations to managers and employees on employee relations, policy interpretation, performance management, and workplace issues.
Coordinate employee offboarding processes, including exit documentation, system access, and final HR procedures.
Process employee status changes, compensation adjustments, promotions, transfers, and benefit updates.
Provide guidance on plan provisions and eligibility, resolve escalated benefit issues, and support annual open enrollment activities.
Conduct employee relations investigations, evaluate findings, document outcomes, and recommend appropriate resolutions consistent with company policy and applicable employment laws.
Partner with managers to provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and workplace issues.
Interpret and apply federal, state, provincial, and local employment laws to ensure compliance and mitigate organizational risk.
Maintain HR reports, organizational data, personnel documentation, and workforce records.
Coordinate mandatory compliance training, policy acknowledgments, and required certifications.
Participate in HR projects and organizational initiatives that support business objectives.
Administer workers' compensation claims, unemployment claims, leaves of absence, and employment verification requests.
Support recruiting and onboarding activities as needed.
Travel occasionally throughout the United States and Canada to support business operations and HR initiatives.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What You Bring to the Team

2+ years of Human Resources experience.
Experience in hands-on HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or HR Operations role.
Some payroll experience preferred
Experience supporting multi-state HR operations; Canadian HR experience is preferred.
ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus.
Some knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, benefits administration, and compliance.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Billingual in Spanish is a plus.
Tax filing, setup and maintenance experience is a plus
Experience handling confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Tolerance for standard office environments with extended screen time and deadlines.
