Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are a private practice in Bath catering to the local community for more than 50 years. Our focus is on providing comprehensive and personal care. We are seeking a courteous and friendly Dental Front office staff member. We are a small private office and we are looking for someone who would like to either lead the front office on their own or work in conjunction with another person. This energetic person will ensure smooth clinic functioning, exceptional patient care, and efficient administrative processes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in dental office management, knowledge of Open Dental Software, dental office operations, and team supervision, all while fostering a positive environment that promotes growth and excellence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on patient experiences and practice success through proactive leadership and strategic management.

Duties

Manage daily clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination to optimize efficiency and patient satisfaction
Oversee financial activities such as budgeting, billing, collections, and fiscal management to ensure profitability and compliance with healthcare regulations
Ensure adherence to HIPAA, OSHA and Dental Board standards, health regulation policies, and compliance with all healthcare laws and safety protocols
Utilize Open Dental software and computer systems including MS Office and other regular software.
Monitor the billing processes, insurance claims, and ensure that patients are well informed on their financial obligations.
Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing patient concerns promptly and professionally while ensuring a welcoming clinic atmosphere
Ensure that the office schedule is well organized and filled.

Requirements

Experience working in a dental office.
Good knowledge of dental practice management system preferably OpenDental, but this can be trained.
Familiarity with dental procedures, dental billing, coding, HIPAA compliance and health regulation policies. A dental xray license is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly and cheerful attitude.
Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies such as patient management software, Phone systems, and other office management tools.
