Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Head Cook to lead our culinary and hospitality operations with passion and precision. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen team with the goal of delivering an exceptional guest experience. Your leadership will drive culinary excellence, ensure food safety compliance, and foster a collaborative team culture that thrives on team work and high standards. We are looking to expand our business and this role will play a pivotal role in helping us do that with the opportunity for more professional and compensatory growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to shape the culinary direction of our organization while maintaining operational efficiency and delivering memorable service.

Along with the starting salary the Head Cook will also partake in the restaurant tip pool.

Duties

Lead a kitchen team across various departments, including food production, catering, and restaurant service, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.
Oversee menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation to maintain consistency with brand standards and customer expectations.
Manage inventory control and food cost analysis to optimize purchasing, reduce waste, and improve profitability.
Enforce food safety sanitizing procedures, proper food handling practices, and compliance with health regulations to guarantee a safe dining environment.
Collaborate with the catering manager on catering events from setup to service, ensuring seamless execution aligned with client requirements.
Monitor kitchen operations for efficiency, including cooking processes, food production timelines, and quality assurance measures.
Foster a positive hospitality environment by promoting teamwork, leadership development, and excellent customer service standards.

Requirements

Proven experience in kitchen management, fast-paced/fast-casual dining environments, including catering operations.
Strong background in team leadership within the food industry.
Extensive knowledge of dietary department procedures, food safety protocols, and sanitizing procedures.
Demonstrated expertise in food production, menu planning, kitchen management, and inventory control.
Background in restaurant management or hospitality leadership desired but not mandatory, with a focus on food service management.
Familiarity with culinary techniques, which includes, frying, grilling, sauteing, prepping, and other various cooking methods and food handling practices.
Experience with controlling costs, and implementing inventory management systems.
Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to motivate teams as a chef or leader in managing kitchens or dining services.
