Full Job Description

Hanson Sign is currently seeking a reliable detail orientated individual to join our production team as a light assembly and hand paint specialist. This role involves sanding, preparing, and hand-painting carved, sandblasted wood, and HDU signs. You’ll apply vinyl, primers, detailed lettering, and logos using brushes, rollers, and artist paint brushes to produce top-quality signage for our customers. This position is also responsible for assembling parts and packaging finished products according to company standards.

Duties include:

Mixing paints and preparing work areas
Hand painting signs using brushes and rollers, including fine detail work
Sanding between coats, touching up blemishes, and applying vinyl per specifications
Inspecting finished products for quality standards
Maintaining a clean and organized work area
Performing light assembly tasks such as fitting, gluing, fastening, and labeling parts
Packaging products safely and securely for shipping and storage
Following written and verbal instructions for work orders

Requirements:

Experience with hand tools, painting, or carpentry preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to distinguish colors
Basic math skills for measuring and mixing paints
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team setting
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks as needed
Ability to follow instructions and pay close attention to detail

Additional Requirements:

Comfortable working around paint odors and materials
Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
