Job Summary

Must have dance expereince. We are seeking an energetic and passionate Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, Ballet I, and Tap I Teacher to inspire young dancers and foster their love for the performing arts. In this role, you will design engaging dance curricula, lead dynamic classes, and nurture each child's artistic development through movement, music, and creative expression. Your enthusiasm will motivate students to explore their potential while developing foundational dance skills in a supportive environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to cultivate creativity, discipline, and confidence in children and young adults alike.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement age-appropriate dance curricula that incorporate creative movement, pre-ballet, ballet fundamentals, and tap techniques
Lead lively and engaging dance classes for children across various skill levels, ensuring a positive learning atmosphere
Foster a love of dance through storytelling, improvisation, and choreography that encourages self-expression
Manage classroom behavior effectively while maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for all students
Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support growth
Collaborate with colleagues on program development, special performances, and community outreach initiatives
Incorporate elements of music, theater experience, and childhood development principles into lesson planning to enhance learning outcomes

Skills

Strong background in ballet, tap dance, creative arts instruction, and choreography
Experience working with children in educational or arts settings, including preschool or early childhood education
Proficiency in curriculum development tailored to young learners’ developmental stages
Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups of students
Knowledge of behavior management techniques and childhood development principles
Ability to plan engaging lessons that integrate music, theater experience, and movement fundamentals
Experience in teaching visual & performing arts or related youth programs is highly desirable
Skilled in lesson planning, classroom experience, and working with students of varying abilities including special education needs
Additional talents such as photography or sewing are a plus for enhancing class projects or costume creation
