Full Job Description

As Rhode Island’s largest health system and private employer, Brown University Health is committed to clinical excellence and devoted to our mission of building a healthier future for our communities. We are seeking a Dosimetrist to join the Radiation Oncology team at Saint Anne’s Hospital in Fall River, MA . In this role, you will develop accurate, high-quality treatment plans for conventional radiotherapy, IMRT, and VMAT while collaborating closely with physicians, physicists and radiation therapists. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday day shift. The hourly pay range for this position is $46.02-$67.87.

Responsibilities:

Develop accurate treatment plans for conventional radiotherapy, IMRT, and VMAT based on physician directives and patient-specific data
Evaluate CT images, contours, measurements and treatment parameters to support precise dose calculations and isodose distributions
Collaborate with physicians to optimize treatment plans and resolve treatment setup challenges
Complete case documentation and patient charges accurately and on time, and prepare custom boluses or molds as needed

Qualifications:

Associate degree in health or physical sciences or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
1+ years of practical clinical radiation therapy experience as a Radiation Therapy Technologist and 4+ years of radiation dosimetry and treatment-planning experience
Knowledge of external beam dosimetry and treatment-planning concepts
Eligibility for board certification required; Certified Medical Dosimetrist certification preferred
