Full Job Description

Overview:
We are looking to hire a reliable and experienced professional Pet Sitter / Dog Walkers for weekends to join our team.

As a Pet Sitter / Dog Walker, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of pets and provide them with the exercise and care they need. This is a great opportunity for individuals who love animals and/or enjoy spending time outdoors.

Our company offers paid training, paid certifications and ongoing continuing education as well as flexibility to our sitters/walkers and paid mileage.

Currently hiring for a Weekend Pet Sitter / Dog Walker

Required Availability

Weekends Saturdays & Sundays. Fridays a plus. Our service hours are 7am-9pm so looking for a couple sitters to take on weekend bookings. Will not require every weekend all day/night.

Our Time Slots

7-10am Mornings

11-3pm Afternoons

4-6pm Evenings

7-9pm Nights

All positions are Part time. You can set your maximum # of hrs/visits per week.

Responsibilities:
- Walk dogs on a regular basis, ensuring they get the exercise they need
- Reinforce basic obedience training during walks
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the dogs/pets in your care
- Clean up after dogs during walks
- Monitor dogs for any signs of distress or illness and report any concerns to the client/company

-Care for cats, dogs and other pets as instructed including but not limited to feeding, medication, providing fresh water, scooping litter box, attention and exercise, cleaning up after pets, etc…

- Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners regarding their pet's care
- Maintain accurate records of visits, including time spent and any notable observations via our easy to use client management system

Experience:
- Previous experience working with animals, such as in a kennel, doggie daycare, doing dog training or pet grooming, pet sitting / dog walking, or working in a veterinary setting (vet tech) or other animal setting is preferred

- Knowledge of pet care and/or dog walking tools training techniques is a plus
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments ideal
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with pet owners

Requirements:
- reliable and punctual
- have a genuine love for animals and a desire to provide them with the best care possible
- Physical stamina to walk for extended periods of time and handle dogs of various sizes
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to specific guidelines provided by pet owners

-Ability to work well independently

Compensation:

$16-$18 per hour depending on experience & availability. Plus Mileage reimbursement + Tips. Option for per visit rate instead which also includes tips and pay beyond a certain radius
