Pediatrician (BE/BC) Full-time or Part-time · Fall River, Massachusetts

An excellent opportunity for a BE/BC pediatrician to join a well-established, busy, and growing private pediatric practice. Highland Pediatrics is one of the premier pediatric practices in southeastern Massachusetts, committed to high-quality medicine in a congenial, collaborative environment.

ABOUT THE PRACTICE:

Highland Pediatrics consists of eight full and part-time physicians, four NPs, and one PA. We are located at Truesdale Health in historic Fall River, Massachusetts. We serve a broad spectrum of patients across all pediatric and adolescent ages and socioeconomic backgrounds throughout southeastern Massachusetts and eastern Rhode Island. We collaborate closely in a congenial environment and share our call equitably, using a phone triage service for overnight calls.

CLINICAL RESOURCES & SUPPORT:

On-site behavioral health services: a psychiatric nurse practitioner, a social worker, and two mental health coordinators and therapists

Expanded in-house labs including STAT labs. Separate lab, X-ray, and pharmacy services in our building; Pediatric subspecialists nearby, including those from Hasbro Children's Hospital (HCH), Boston Children's Hospital (BCH), and Tufts NEMC. We see our own newborns at our community hospital, which has 24-hour level II nursery coverage for C-sections and complicated neonatal cases; obstetricians perform all circumcisions.

COMPENSATION & INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY:

We offer a competitive salary and benefits with bonuses and a clear path to early partnership. As physician-tenants at Truesdale Health, our physicians also have the exclusive opportunity to invest in the Truesdale Medical Office building. We actively assist new physicians in acquiring shares, which have had recent yields of 10–20% or more. We can also help with loan repayment.

THE REGION:

Fall River is situated on the shores of Mt. Hope Bay in southeastern Massachusetts, less than an hour's drive from Boston and Cape Cod, and not far from Providence and Newport. The region offers an abundance of outdoor activities, including boating, kayaking, fishing, hiking, and biking. Beaches are nearby on the Atlantic coast, and skiing is available less than two hours north. Area communities feature affordable housing and highly rated schools.
