HME is currently recruiting for a Human Resources Generalist, and we would love to hear from you! While reporting directly to the Mgr. Human Resources Operations & Business Partner, the HR Generalist position is a highly influential and critical role that links our family of companies to our corporate HR operations. To best support our employees, your customers, this position requires you to sit onsite four days a week, with an optional remote day after you’ve completed your initial new hire period. Your goal will be to ensure an exceptional employee experience in alignment with corporate objectives. In the HR Generalist position you will perform human resources-related duties at the professional level with a primary focus on employee relations and recruiting. Additional responsibilities may include some or all of the following functional areas: employment law, compliance, and employee engagement. What you will do in the position:

- Manages according to HME culture values, standard operating procedures, performance objectives and applicable state and federal laws.
- Employee Relations - Across Various Business Units
- Assists with employee relations issues including performance improvement plans, corrective actions, and employee exits and makes recommendations to HR leadership.
- Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary actions.
- Manages non-exempt exit meetings and conducts exit interviews for employee resignations.
- Talent Acquisition - Across Various Business Units
- Partner with people leaders to recruit and fill open roles.
- Coordinate candidate review, interviews, and start timelines to meet business needs.
- Serve as the primary liaison with agencies, ensuring clear communication on role requirements and expectations for temporary workers.
- Provide timely feedback on temporary worker performance and partner with agencies on replacements as needed.
- Manage assignment changes including extensions, early terminations, and backfills.
- HR Support and Projects - Across Various Business Units
- Supports HR projects, audits, initiatives and company events as needed.
- Partners with senior management to develop organizational solutions from a cultural and process perspective.
- Maintains, troubleshoots, and confidently navigates the company HR information system, UKG Pro.
- Ensures all HR policies are managed and followed compliantly in alignment with assigned regulations.
- As needed assists the Training department in preparing and executing on various employee trainings.
- Assists with the full employee life cycle from recruiting to offboarding.
- Collaborates with the HR team to update, enhance and maintain department operating procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What you will need to succeed in this position:
- BA or BS (college graduate) - Preferred.
- 5+ years of general Human Resources experience.
- General knowledge of employment law, EEO/AA.
- Savvy with HR information systems (HRIS); UKG Pro preferred.
- Ability to comfortably navigate and problem solve while working within a HRIS.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to translate and present information appropriate to the audience.
- Intermediate MS Office skills including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and UKG experience preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills: able to ask open-ended questions, listen intently, and facilitate effective conversations.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- A high level of attention to detail and confidentiality is essential.
- Must be able to present a professional image, utilize sound judgment and discretion.
- Requires the ability to set up and maintain comprehensive and detailed records
Pay Range: $81,200 - $108,300 per annum. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for the role. This may vary depending on experience and other factors.
