In the Junior Art Director role, you will lead the charge of the look and feel of campaigns and promotional materials. This position requires the creativity and attentiveness of an experienced designer who will manage all aspects of a project, from the beginning concepts, design elements, and copy to timelines and team collaboration. The Junior Art Director will oversee projects from concept to completion through various mediums including print, digital, mobile, video, as well as internal and external corporate publications for clients within multiple industries while maintaining brand standards.
Responsibilities & Duties:

Produces art layouts by developing art concepts and providing creative direction to designers

Trains, assigns, schedules, and mentors designers

Meets art department work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards

Identifies work process improvements

Formulates art concepts by supervising designers engaged in executing layout designs for artwork and copy to be presented by visual communications media

Reviews project production factors by studying background information, objectives, presentation approaches, styles, and techniques

Selects and secures illustrative material by formulating basic layout design concepts and conducting research

Improves quality by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations

Leads the artistic development of marketing and promotional pieces, including print, online, mobile, television, and radio advertisements; collateral materials; and internal and external corporate publications

Supervises a team of 3-4 graphic designers, photographers, videographers, illustrators, and production artists

Works with copywriters to develop strategies for advertising campaigns

Ensures that all aspects of the campaign align with the needs of the client or company.

Experience/Education:

Bachelor’s degree in art, fine arts, or design

2 years of experience as a junior art director or equivalent
-
2 years within an agency environment

Expert with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Illustrator, Premiere)
-
Experience with Keynote, Google Suite, Powerpoint

Background in graphic design with a supporting portfolio

Proficiency with Mac computers
This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position and you will be required to work in our Murrieta, CA location two set days per week following our hybrid remote schedule.
