Licensed Mental Health Therapist / MFT-Intern / CPC-Intern (Remote, Part-Time, 1099)Compensation
- Licensed Clinicians: Starting at $65 per completed 53+ minute therapy session, with opportunities to earn up to $70 per completed session based on clinical experience, specialty training, bilingual proficiency, tenure with the practice, and overall contribution.
- MFT-Interns & CPC-Interns: $60 per completed 60-minute therapy session.

Hueman Therapy & Wellness is a growing telehealth private practice dedicated to providing compassionate, culturally responsive, and evidence-based mental health care throughout Nevada. We strive to create a supportive environment where both our clients and clinicians can thrive.
We are seeking compassionate Mental Health Therapists and qualified Mental Health Interns to join our fully remote team. This position is ideal for clinicians looking to supplement their existing caseload, transition into private practice, or gradually build toward a full-time telehealth role. Whether you're looking to see a few additional clients each week or grow into a larger caseload over time, we'd love to connect with you.
This position offers flexibility, autonomy, administrative support, and referrals provided by the practice as your caseload grows.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual psychotherapy through a secure HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform.
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based interventions.
- Utilize therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and other clinically appropriate modalities.
- Provide treatment for adolescents (ages 13+) and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, and other mental health conditions.
- Collaborate with clients to establish and work toward individualized treatment goals.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with ethical, legal, and HIPAA standards.
- Complete documentation and treatment planning within the practice's electronic health record (EHR).
- Provide crisis assessment and intervention when clinically appropriate.
- Maintain professional boundaries and uphold ethical standards of practice.
- Participate in occasional team meetings or clinical consultations as needed.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
One of the following Nevada credentials is required:
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Clinical Professional Counselor (CPC)
- Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (MFT-Intern)
- Clinical Professional Counselor Intern (CPC-Intern)
Please note: Clinical Social Worker Interns (CSW-Interns) are not eligible for this position at this time.
- Must be eligible for credentialing with Nevada Medicaid and commercial insurance plans. Because a significant portion of our client referrals are covered by Nevada Medicaid, applicants must be able to successfully obtain and maintain Medicaid credentialing.
- Professional liability insurance.
- Experience providing psychotherapy to adolescents and/or adults preferred.
- Comfortable providing services via telehealth.
- Must have access to a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace with reliable high-speed internet to provide confidential telehealth services.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a supportive team.

Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
- Trauma-informed care
- Anxiety and depressive disorders
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Family systems
- Adolescents (ages 13+)
- Crisis intervention
Caseload Expectations
This is a part-time, 1099 independent contractor position. Caseloads are developed gradually and depend on referral volume, clinician availability, insurance credentialing timelines, and client scheduling preferences.
Once established, clinicians are expected to maintain a minimum active caseload of 7–10 client sessions per week. Whether you're looking to see a handful of clients weekly or build a larger caseload, there is flexibility to grow. Clinicians interested in expanding beyond part-time are encouraged to do so, as this position has the potential to develop into a full-time opportunity as referral volume increases.
Availability
Clinicians have the flexibility to create schedules that fit their needs. While appointment availability during standard business hours is expected, evening and weekend appointments are welcomed to help meet the diverse scheduling needs of our clients but are not required.
