Job Summary

WSilver Leaf Property Management is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Property Accountant to join our growing team in Fargo. As a trusted property management company, we are committed to providing exceptional service to property owners and residents while maintaining the highest standards of financial accountability and operational excellence.

The Property Accountant plays a key role in supporting the financial health of our organization through accurate recordkeeping, accounts payable and receivable management, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and administrative support. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working with numbers, improving processes, maintaining organized systems, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Primary Responsibilities

· Generate timely and accurate billing for work orders, management fees, and related services.

· Reconcile employee and property credit card statements.

· Record journal entries and maintain accurate financial records across multiple property and corporate ledgers.

· Process accounts payable invoices and prepare vendor payments.

· Perform monthly bank account reconciliations.

· Assist in the preparation of year-end financial reports and audit documentation.

· Analyze financial, operational, and transactional data while exercising sound judgment.

· Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting efficiencies and internal processes.

· Demonstrate accountability and a commitment to serving the needs of the business, property owners, residents, and business partners.

· Present a professional image in all interactions with staff, vendors, owners, and residents.

· Maintain positive and productive working relationships with team members.

· Handle sensitive financial and customer information with professionalism and confidentiality.

· Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Minimum of two (3) years of progressive accounting experience; property management accounting experience preferred.

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

· Experience with property management and accounting software systems preferred.

· Knowledge of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

· Work independently and collaboratively to develop consistent, logical, and effective accounting solutions.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely reporting of financial information.
