Full Job Description

Job Summary:
This is a salary + commission role.

Valley Rental is seeking a professional, customer-focused Leasing Agent to join our dynamic team. As a Leasing Agent, you will be responsible for promoting and leasing residential properties to prospective tenants, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of property management. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to grow their careers in property management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Leasing & Marketing:
Show available properties to prospective tenants and highlight key features and benefits.
Create and implement marketing strategies to attract new tenants, including online listings and social media posts.
Handle all inquiries regarding rental properties, both in person and over the phone.
Conduct property tours for prospective tenants, answering all questions regarding lease terms, amenities, and property rules/regulations.
Strong knowledge of market conditions, rental rates and competing properties.
Tenant Relations:
Assist in the application process, including screening and qualifying prospective tenants.
Prepare and execute lease agreements and ensure compliance with company policies.
Resolve tenant concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintain accurate records of all tenant applications, leases, and communication.
Collect security deposits and rent payments.
Coordinate move-ins and move-outs and conduct property inspections when necessary.
Assist with coordinating property maintenance and repairs in collaboration with the property management team.
Compliance & Legal:
Ensure all leases and rental agreements comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Maintain knowledge of fair housing laws and stay current on industry best practices and legal requirements.

Job Qualifications and Skills:

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Previous experience in leasing, sales, or customer service is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with tenants and prospects.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software (experience with Yardi is a plus).
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Knowledge of fair housing laws and property management regulations is an advantage.

Job Requirement Summary:

The Leasing Agent is responsible for ensuring the successful leasing of residential properties within the Valley Rental portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, excellent communication skills, and a customer-centric approach. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can handle administrative duties, customer service, and property marketing while maintaining compliance with legal requirements. The Leasing Agent will report to the Sales and Training Manager and work closely with the maintenance and administrative teams to ensure a smooth leasing process.
