Overview
Join our dynamic team as a JetVac CCTV Operator, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety, integrity, and efficiency of our underground infrastructure and construction sites. In this energetic position, you will operate specialized CCTV equipment to inspect and monitor pipelines, utility corridors, and other critical assets. Your expertise will ensure that all operations adhere to safety standards and technical specifications, supporting the seamless delivery of essential services. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals eager to contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects while utilizing a diverse set of technical skills.

Duties

Operate JetVac equipment alongside CCTV systems to inspect underground pipelines, conduits, and utility lines with precision and safety.
Conduct detailed visual inspections using fiber splicing techniques and mechanical knowledge to identify potential issues or defects.
Utilize heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, bucket trucks, and bucket operations to access difficult or high-risk areas safely.
Perform utility locating and cabling assessments to ensure accurate mapping and avoid service disruptions during construction or maintenance activities.
Execute rigging, climbing, and electrical work involving high voltage and low voltage systems with strict adherence to safety protocols.
Use hand tools and power tools for minor repairs, adjustments, or installation tasks as needed on-site.
Document inspection results thoroughly through detailed reports, including photographs and videos captured via CCTV systems; communicate findings clearly to team members and stakeholders.
Support welding, mechanical tasks, and other construction site activities that require technical expertise and physical agility.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, bucket trucks, and other construction machinery.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs or troubleshooting on electrical systems involving high voltage or low voltage components.
Skilled in fiber splicing, cabling techniques, utility locating, rigging, welding, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
Construction site experience with a focus on underground infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
Ability to climb structures safely and work at heights; comfort with bucket operation and bucket truck use.
Knowledge of electrical systems including high voltage safety procedures is essential.
Excellent communication skills for reporting inspection findings clearly and accurately.
Physical fitness to support climbing, lifting heavy equipment or materials, and working in various environmental conditions.
