Full Job Description

Morris Plate Glass, a well-established glass company serving New Jersey for over 90 years, is seeking an experienced Commercial Glazier / Shower Enclosure Installer to join our growing team. We are looking for a dependable craftsman who takes pride in quality workmanship, values safety, and can work independently on both residential and commercial projects. This role involves high-end residential shower enclosure installations as well as select commercial glazing projects.

This is a hands-on, field-based position working on residential and commercial job sites throughout New Jersey.

Responsibilities

Measure, fabricate, and install glass panels for frameless and semi-frameless shower enclosures
Perform commercial glazing and storefront work as required
Read and interpret layouts, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
Use hand tools, power tools, and glazing equipment safely and effectively
Perform caulking and final detailing to a high professional standard
Handle glass and materials safely, including heavy lifting when required
Ensure all work meets industry standards for quality, safety, and appearance
Communicate clearly with management and team members regarding job progress and site conditions
Maintain a clean, organized work area and represent the company professionally on job sites

Requirements

Prior experience in glazing and/or shower enclosure installation required
Strong ability to read and follow layouts, drawings, and specifications
Knowledge of job-site safety procedures and proper handling of glass materials
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and capable of completing work as scheduled
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Professional demeanor with customers, coworkers, and contractors

Additional Qualifications (Preferred)

Experience with high-end residential shower enclosures
Commercial storefront or door installation experience
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
