Full Job Description

Job Description

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and help ensure accurate, timely financial reporting across our organization. This role will be responsible for managing core accounting workflows, supporting month-end close, maintaining job-costing accuracy, supervising accounting support staff, and improving processes to strengthen reporting timeliness and reliability.

This is a strong fit for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys owning the details, improving processes, and helping keep the accounting function organized, accurate, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, account coding, and general ledger support
Supervise and support accounting staff, including offshore accounting support team members
Lead monthly close activities, including reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, customer deposits, and other balance sheet accounts
Ensure accurate job costing and help improve consistency in how project costs are tracked and reported
Review accounting transactions for completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation
Help maintain clean and timely financial records to support internal reporting and decision-making
Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports and supporting schedules for leadership review
Support year-end close, audit preparation, tax support, and other compliance-related requests
Identify and improve accounting processes, workflows, and internal procedures to increase timeliness, accuracy, and efficiency
Work closely with the Director of Finance to help strengthen reporting cadence, accountability, and financial visibility

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
2–4+ years of accounting experience, with experience in month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger activity
Previous experience in construction, service-based, or job-cost accounting strongly preferred
Experience overseeing accounting processes or supporting junior team members preferred
Strong understanding of core accounting principles and financial reporting
Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting software
High attention to detail, strong organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Clear communicator with a process-improvement mindset
Comfortable working in a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with multi-entity accounting
Experience in helping improve accounting processes and reporting timeliness
Experience working with remote or offshore support staff
CPA is a plus, but not required

Compensation and Benefits

Pay: $50,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
