Full Job Description

The Catering & Outside Sales (OS) Director is responsible for growing Chick-fil-A Farmington’s business beyond the four walls of the restaurant. This leader drives revenue through catering, Additional Distribution Points (ADPs), community partnerships and strategic outside sales initiatives while ensuring operational excellence in every guest interaction.

The Catering & OS Director serves as the face of Chick-fil-A Farmington within the community by cultivating relationships with local businesses, schools, healthcare organizations, churches and community groups. Through intentional relationship-building and flawless execution, this leader creates new opportunities for the restaurant while strengthening existing partnerships.

Success in this role is measured not only by the execution of catering orders, but by the ability to identify new revenue streams, launch and sustain Additional Distribution Points (ADPs) and create long-term growth opportunities that expand Chick-fil-A Farmington’s presence throughout the community.

Catering and Outside Sales Director Responsibilities:

Outside Sales & Business Development

Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to grow business outside the restaurant.
Identify, pursue and secure new catering clients and recurring business accounts.
Establish relationships with local businesses, schools, churches, hospitals, manufacturers and community organizations.
Conduct weekly outside sales visits and networking opportunities.
Create strategic partnerships that generate long-term revenue.
Develop marketing initiatives that increase awareness of Chick-fil-A catering and outside sales opportunities.
Maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and consistently convert new business into recurring partnerships.

Additional Distribution Points (ADPs)

Oversee the successful execution of all existing Additional Distribution Points (ADPs).
Ensure every ADP reflects Chick-fil-A’s standards for food quality, hospitality, speed and operational excellence.
Evaluate current ADP performance and identify opportunities for increased sales and efficiency.
Research and secure new ADP opportunities within the community.
Build relationships with organizations capable of supporting recurring ADPs.
Coordinate staffing, inventory, logistics and operational execution for each ADP.
Develop systems that allow ADPs to scale while maintaining consistency and profitability.
Analyze sales and profitability for each ADP and recommend improvements.

Catering Operations

Manage all catering orders from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up.
Ensure every catering order is accurate, on time and delivered with exceptional hospitality.
Coordinate production with kitchen leadership.
Maintain catering equipment, vehicles, supplies and inventory.
Develop efficient systems that improve execution and minimize errors.

Guest Relationship Management

Serve as the primary relationship owner for catering and outside sales guests.
Follow up after catering events and ADPs to gather feedback and strengthen relationships.
Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally.
Create memorable experiences that result in repeat business and referrals.

Leadership

Recruit, train and develop team members who support catering and ADP operations.
Create clear operating procedures and training systems.
Build a culture of ownership, hospitality, urgency and excellence.
Hold team members accountable to Chick-fil-A standards while developing future leaders.

Financial Stewardship

Drive profitable revenue growth through catering and outside sales initiatives.
Monitor catering, ADP and outside sales performance.
Protect food cost and labor through efficient planning and execution.
Analyze key business metrics and recommend strategies for continued growth.
