Are you passionate about diagnostic imaging and want to be part of a collaborative, hands-on team in a fast-paced specialty hospital? Pieper Veterinary is currently seeking a Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join our Radiology Department at Pieper Memorial, a VECCS Level 1 Certified Hospital located in Middletown, CT.

Whether you are an experienced Veterinary Technician looking to utilize your full skill set across multiple imaging modalities, or a Veterinary Assistant interested in gaining more experience by supporting procedures and learning from a top-tier radiology team— we want to hear from you! With the support of their technicians, assistants, and liaisons the hospital teams work closely together to deliver the highest quality of care.

About You:

We strongly believe that veterinary medicine is a team sport, and our ideal candidate is someone who feels the same. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment that is always evolving and communicates well with others.

In this role, you will be an integral part of our diagnostic imaging team, supporting or performing a range of imaging procedures including radiology (X-ray), ultrasound, echocardiography, fluoroscopy, CT, and cardiology imaging. We will tailor the position to your strengths, offering growth opportunities for both technician- and assistant-level applicants.

Compensation:
Depending on experience and credentials:
Veterinary Technicians - $21.50-$25.00 an hour
Veterinary Assistants - $19.50-$21.50 an hour

Anticipated Schedule:
This is a full-time position:
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday - shifts will be 8am-6pm and 9am-7pm.
Holidays are required.

Requirements:

Prior experience working in a veterinary setting, ideally in an ER setting.
Experience in handling animals and performing basic animal care tasks.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members.
Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
Compassion and patience when handling animals.
Basic knowledge of animal behavior and medical terminology.
Experience with common induction agents/anesthetic agents/analgesia agents
Must be 18 years or older to apply.
