Job Title: Material Handling Coordinator
*THIS IS A SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION*
Job Overview: The Material Handling Coordinator is responsible for accurately receiving, organizing, and managing all parts and materials across the facility, ensuring inventory is properly stocked, tracked, and prepared to support maintenance and production needs. This position will report to the Maintenance Manager.

Job Responsibilities
-
Receive, inspect, sort, and unload incoming parts and materials using a forklift as required.

Organize and stock parts in the Parts Room and Satellite Storage areas with accurate labeling and location control.

Process requisitions and issue or distribute parts, supplies, and materials to internal users.

Review CMMS work orders and prepare and stage parts for upcoming preventive maintenance activities.

Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, quantities, part types, cycle counts, and storage locations.

Prepare and submit replenishment orders to maintain appropriate inventory levels.

Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate Min/Max levels and identification for spare parts, materials, supplies, and tools.

Prepare and package parts and equipment for shipment to vendors for repair when required.

Advise planners, production personnel, and internal users on the appropriate parts, supplies, and materials for their needs.

Support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a clean, organized warehouse and optimizing parts storage systems with the supervisor.
Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
At least 1 year of experience in a similar warehouse, parts, or inventory role.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and inventory control principles; ABC warehousing knowledge is preferred.

Mechanical parts knowledge and forklift certification are preferred.

Proficient computer skills with the ability to maintain accurate electronic inventory records.

Ability to read and prepare packing slips, labels, and inventory documentation.

Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Ability to efficiently navigate the storeroom and plant while maintaining inventory organization and cleanliness.
-
Ability to sit at a computer for 50–70% of the shift and regularly walk, stand, bend, climb stairs/ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.
