About the Role

As a Non-Destructive Examination Technician, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the integrity of critical infrastructure through meticulous inspections and precise interpretation of results. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop into a project lead, overseeing on-site functions and providing crucial status updates to clients, while also advancing your expertise towards NDE Level III certification.

Responsibilities

Apply diverse industry standards and procedures to meet stringent customer and regulatory requirements across both nuclear and non-nuclear sectors.
Pioneer innovative inspection techniques and refine existing methodologies to enhance processes within the nuclear and non-nuclear industries.
Mentor and guide Trainees, Level I, and Level II technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and expertise within the NDE team.
Contribute to the preparation of field projects by developing comprehensive procedures and examination plans tailored to the NDE scope.
Engage in ongoing performance-based training to acquire and maintain essential certifications, staying abreast of the latest technological advancements.
Uphold a steadfast commitment to safety by participating in specialized training programs, equipping you with the skills to operate safely in hazardous environments and utilize safety equipment effectively.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot sophisticated field service equipment at client locations, including advanced non-destructive examination (NDE) technology, automated systems, and intricate computer networks.
Execute all assigned tasks with unwavering attention to quality, adhering strictly to qualified procedures and guidelines, while meticulously maintaining and documenting all quality-related matters.

Qualifications

Required Skills

5+ years of experience in non-destructive examination.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience in performing non-destructive inspections within nuclear and/or non-nuclear power plants, or related fields, in accordance with industry-recognized standards.
Proficiency in certifying to an employer-based written practice that aligns with ASNT CP-189 and ASME Section XI, with expertise in multiple disciplines (UT, VT-1,2,3, MT, PT, ET).

Preferred Skills

Working knowledge of ASME Code.
Flexibility to travel during the spring and fall, accommodating multiple project assignments lasting 1-3 weeks, with occasional travel during off-peak seasons.
