Overview
Precision SiteWork is seeking an experienced Tractor & Pan Operator to join our growing field operations team. This position plays a critical role in earthmoving operations for residential, commercial, and municipal site development projects throughout Northwest Arkansas.
We are looking for motivated operators who take pride in production, safety, equipment care, and teamwork. The ideal candidate will have experience operating scraper pans and tractors in mass grading, pad preparation, roadway construction, and site balancing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate tractor and scraper pan equipment safety and efficiently
- Perform earthmoving activities including: Site balancing, Mass excavation, Fill placement, Rough grading, Building pad preparation, Roadway subgrade preparation
- Maintain proper grade tolerances using GPS and grade stakes
- Conduct daily pre-tip and post-tip equipment inspections
- Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance issues immediately
- Work closely with Superintendents, Foreman, Grade Checkers, and Survey Crews
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements
- Maintain production goals while ensuring quality standards are met
- Assist with moisture conditioning and compaction coordination as needed
- Keep equipment clean and jobsite work areas organized.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating tractor and pan equipment
- Experience in heavy civil, roadway, or subdivision development
- Ability to read grade stakes and understand basic site plans
- Strong understanding of cut/fill operations and haul efficiency
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred
- GPS machine control experience
- Experience with large-scale subdivision or commercial earthwork
- Knowledge of moisture conditioning and compaction operations
- OSHA 10 certification
- CDL license (preferred but not required)
