Job Summary

We are a local, family run eye clinic that tries to seek the very best for both our patients and employees.

Below you find a formal description of the job description of an Optometrist. All of those are givens, but at the core, we want that special optometrist that is both excellent in his/her care for patients, and at the same time intentional and relationship-driven with patients. We are a family owned eye clinic, and taking care of patients and our employees is everything to us. Reach out if this is interesting to you!

**Responsibilities:**

Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect any underlying eye conditions.

Prescribe corrective lenses or medications as needed.

Perform specialized tests to evaluate depth perception, color vision, and peripheral vision.

Diagnose and manage conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy.

- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries.

Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular eye exams.

Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

**Experience:**

Strong knowledge of ocular anatomy, physiology, and optical principles

Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and aseptic techniques

Proficiency in electronic health record systems and medical coding

Understanding of medical terminology, particularly in the field of ophthalmology

Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality
