Overview
Thomas Solutions Incorporated is dedicated to providing support to the Special Operations Mission Training Center (SOMTC) and their mission to conducts individual and collective training for the USASOC operating and generating force to prepare Special Operations Forces (SOF) to successfully operate across the full spectrum of operations.

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Facility Operations Manager who meets or exceeds all qualifications. This role is vital in ensuring that all systems, maintenance activities, and operational procedures run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. As a key leader in facilities management, you will supervise the team responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, reliability, and performance. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage complex technical systems, and uphold regulatory compliance to support our government client in their facility management.
Pending Solicitation/ Future Opportunity:

Education Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree.
Fifteen years of Army Special Forces experience may substitute for academic degrees.

Qualifications Requirement:

Graduate of the Army Special Forces Qualifying Course (18A, 180A, or 18 series, Noncommissioned Officers, Military Occupation Specialties).
Two years of experience in facility management, and operations of Army Mission Command Training Center/Complex.

Experience:

Two years of experience in supervision of maintenance, security, and safety of facilities.
Fort Bragg Directorate of Public Works (DPW) Repair and Upgrade (R&U) training.
Experience performing humidity/air conditioning and controls checks.
Experience submitting and tracking DPW services or work orders for AC/heat, plumbing, electrical, etc. with emphasis on Fort Bragg Directorate of Public Works (DPW) regulation and procedures.

Additional Desired Qualifications/Experience:

Certified Project Manager.
Four years’ experience as a senior supervisor,
Two years of management and operations experience of a Training Center or Complex (MTC, NTC, JRTC, etc.).
Experience performing key control and fire marshal functions.
Defense Information Systems for Security (DISS) training.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to details, and project coordination.

Clearance Requirement:

Active Secret clearance.

Facility Management Tasks:

Identify and submit work orders to DPW and/or appropriate organization(s) for facility maintenance problems within SOMTC Facilities

Upon discovery of maintenance problems, you shall take reasonable precautions to limit any possible further damage. You will notify the Government designated representative prior to end of business of the day the problem is discovered.

Initiate work and service orders with the Department of Public Works (DPW), Fort Bragg, NC within one day of discovery of the maintenance or service issue.

Coordinate SOMTC Government approved periodic maintenance of SOMTC facilities and grounds with the DPW, Fort Bragg, NC.

Escort DPW personnel and maintenance contractors providing services such as, but not limited to plumbing, heating, carpentry, ventilating, electrical, air conditioning, cleaning, landscaping, lawn care, etc.

Prepare and keep records of all maintenance work orders and service orders. You will inform the Government designated representative of the status of work orders and service orders weekly.

Monitor work orders and service orders status. You will conduct follow-up coordination with DPW for work orders and service orders remaining open for a period of one week after initial submission.

Manage the HVAC Energy Management System, lighting, and door closure schedules.

Ensure the facility and grounds public trash containers are emptied into the adjacent garbage bin when full.

Attend and complete the one-day Fort Bragg Directorate of Public Works (DPW) Repair and Upgrade (R&U) training located at DPW Compound, Fort Bragg, NC.

Perform first level facility maintenance such as changing HVAC air filters, replacing light bulbs, turning off water to overflowing toilets or leaking pipes when required.
