Your Opportunity

As a Superintendent III, you will serve as the field leader responsible for driving project success from groundbreaking through turnover and warranty. You'll oversee field operations, manage trade partners, coordinate schedules, maintain quality standards, and champion jobsite safety.

This role is ideal for an experienced construction professional ready to lead projects ranging from $15 million to $30 million+ while helping develop the next generation of field leaders.

What You'll DoLead Field Operations

Direct and oversee all daily field operations on commercial construction projects.
Manage a single project valued between $15M and $30M, multiple projects of similar cumulative value, or support larger, highly complex projects.
Coordinate subcontractors, trade partners, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure seamless project execution.
Maintain accountability for project safety, quality, schedule, and productivity.

Own the Schedule

Develop, implement, and maintain project schedules.
Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor activities to meet critical milestones.
Identify potential delays early and implement solutions to keep projects on track.

Build High-Performing Teams

Set clear expectations and performance goals for field staff.
Mentor Foremen, Assistant Superintendents, and emerging leaders.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Recruit and develop top field talent.

Drive Safety Excellence

Champion a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility.
Partner closely with Metcon's Safety Team to maintain full compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Conduct regular safety meetings, site inspections, and corrective action planning.
Ensure every worker returns home safely each day.

Deliver Quality Without Compromise

Review plans, specifications, and scopes of work to ensure complete project understanding.
Coordinate trade activities to maximize efficiency and quality.
Manage punch lists, closeout activities, commissioning support, and warranty requirements.
Maintain Metcon's reputation for exceptional project delivery.

Build Strong Relationships

Serve as a trusted partner to owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
Promote positive client experiences and foster repeat business opportunities.
Support business development efforts by participating in project pursuits, presentations, and relationship-building activities.

Lead During Preconstruction

Participate in project planning, logistics development, constructability reviews, and scheduling.
Help identify project risks and opportunities before construction begins.
Collaborate with Project Managers and Preconstruction teams to establish project success from day one.

What You'll BringRequired Qualifications

Construction Management, Construction Technology, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 5 years of field supervision experience on commercial construction projects.
Proven leadership experience managing field operations and subcontractors.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, logistics, and quality control.
High level of emotional intelligence and leadership maturity.
Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
