Overview

We are seeking a passionate and talented Cake Decorator and Pastry Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. This dynamic role combines the artistry of cake decorating with the precision of pastry creation, offering an exciting opportunity to craft beautiful, delicious baked goods that delight our customers. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and culinary expertise to a fast-paced environment, ensuring every product meets our high standards for quality and presentation. Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and other confections, adhering strictly to recipes and quality standards.
Decorate cakes and desserts with intricate designs, fondant, piping, and other decorative techniques to create visually stunning products.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, pastry bags, and decorating tools.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety regulations; ensure all tools and surfaces are sanitized regularly.
Package finished products carefully for retail display or catering events, ensuring freshness and presentation quality.
Assist in food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, assembling components, and preparing fillings or toppings.
Collaborate with team members to meet high-volume production demands while maintaining consistency and excellence in every item produced.

Requirements

Proven experience in cake decorating, pastry preparation, or a related culinary field within a food production or bakery environment.
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, food handling safety standards, and kitchen equipment operation.
Skilled in knife handling, pastry arts, and creative cake design; familiarity with fondant work is preferred.
Ability to follow detailed recipes accurately while adapting to high-volume production needs.
Excellent organizational skills with an eye for detail; capable of maintaining a clean workspace at all times.
Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipes as needed.
Customer service experience is a plus, especially when interacting with clients for custom orders or catering events.
Previous experience working in food industry settings such as restaurants or bakery is highly desirable.
