Full Job Description

Kayla Renee Cakes is looking for a talented and experienced Baker/Cake Decorator to join our team. We specialize in high-quality, custom cakes and desserts, and we’re looking for someone who takes pride in their craft and thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do:

Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, cupcakes, and other baked goods from scratch
Fill, frost, and decorate cakes to a high standard (buttercream, fondant, and specialty finishes)
Execute custom designs with attention to detail and consistency
Work efficiently to meet order deadlines while maintaining quality
Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace
Collaborate with the team on new designs and seasonal offerings

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience as a baker and/or cake decorator (professional bakery experience required)
Strong skills in cake decorating techniques (piping, smoothing, stacking, fondant work, etc.)
Ability to follow recipes and also adapt creatively when needed
Excellent time management and organizational skills
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and busy holiday periods

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):

Experience with custom orders and wedding cakes
Knowledge of food safety standards
Artistic eye for design and color
