Full Job Description

Front Desk Receptionist

Summary:

Accommodates hotel patrons by registering and assigning rooms to guests, issuing room cards, keeping records of occupied rooms and guests’ accounts, making and confirming reservations, and presenting statements to and collecting payments from departing guests.

Duties:

- Processes all reservation requests in an efficient manner, whether by mail, telephone, computer or in person at the Front Desk

- Processes all guest registrations and check outs promptly, remembering that this is the first and last impression on our guest

- Accounts for all receipts, paid-outs, and charge funds as specified

- Provides accurate information to other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, of room status/condition or guest service requirements

- Handle guest requests, issues, concerns in a timely manner

- Makes wake-up calls or programs system to place wake up calls

- Maintains cleanliness and order of the Front Desk area

- Performs other duties as assigned

Skills:

- Excellent proofreading skills to ensure accuracy of documents and correspondence

- Proficient in file management and organization

- Familiarity with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) for document creation and collaboration

- Strong project coordination abilities to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

- Experience working as an administrative or front desk clerk preferred

- Knowledge of medical receptionist duties is a plus

- Comfortable working with computerized systems for data entry and record keeping

- Exceptional organizational skills to maintain order at the front desk

This position requires a professional individual who can effectively communicate with clients, visitors, and staff members. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
