Full Job Description

Family office with operating companies in Real Estate and Food Manufacturing seeks accounting professional to maintain and record accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and payroll in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Experience with Sage 300 construction management required. The ideal candidate will work with team members of all businesses to prepare monthly financials, related accounting reports and file taxes in multiple states. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in accounting and financial reporting. This position requires flexibility and credibility; we need a hard-working person who is comfortable getting their feet wet and wearing multiple hats. The successful candidate will be providing financial reports, cost analysis data, and suitable recommendations and commentary. Ideally this candidate will have a can-do attitude with a problem-solving mind. It will be his/her job to ensure that the prepared financial statements are timely, accurate, and according to instruction.

Job Requirements:

Required:

- Undergraduate degree in accounting or 10 plus years financial statement preparation or equivalent.

- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting packages is required

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Superb organizational and time management skills

- Possess good judgment, planning skills and leadership traits

- Experience with real estate accounting software, Sage 300 Construction Management required.

Preferred:

- Prior experience in commercial real estate/property management industry a plus.

Job Duties:

- Preparation of all financial statements.

- Provides management with timely reviews of organization’s financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.

- Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
