Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in various welding techniques, blueprint reading, and mechanical fabrication will contribute to the successful production of high-quality metal structures and parts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects in a fast-paced environment where safety, craftsmanship, and teamwork are paramount.

Duties

Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately produce metal components.
Perform welding using MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) techniques according to AWS (American Welding Society) standards.
Measure and mark materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure proper fit and alignment.
Fabricate sheet metal structures and components through cutting, bending, forming, and assembly processes such as plasma cutting and pipe threading.
Use power tools, hand tools, rigging equipment, and machining tools to assemble fabricated parts safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols and inspecting equipment regularly.
Collaborate with team members on construction site projects or fabrication shop tasks involving metal materials, mechanical fabrication, or pipe systems.

Experience

Proven construction site experience or manufacturing background involving metal fabrication.
Hands-on experience with welding processes including FCAW, MIG welding, TIG welding, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding.
Ability to read mechanical blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately.
Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication.
Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding environments and construction sites.
Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, pipe threading, plasma cutting, machining, and assembly tasks.
Mechanical knowledge of tools, rigging techniques, and metal materials used in fabrication projects.
